Victoria Beckham’s Hermès bag collection is off-limits to her daughter Harper

Victoria Beckham isn't ready to let her daughter borrow her Hermès Birkins just yet.

Victoria Beckham is known not just for her impeccable fashion sense but also for her luxury collection, which includes an array of Hermès bags, some of the most coveted and expensive accessories in the fashion world. However, while many might expect her children, especially her daughter Harper, to inherit her extravagant wardrobe, Victoria has made it clear that her iconic Hermès bags are off-limits for now.

In an interview, Victoria Beckham revealed that her daughter, now 12, is not allowed to touch or borrow her precious collection of Hermès bags, which includes rare designs like the Birkin and Kelly bags. These bags, which can cost anywhere from $10,000 to $100,000 depending on the model and rarity, are not only symbols of luxury but also pieces of significant sentimental value for Victoria.

While Harper, who is often spotted in stylish outfits alongside her famous mother, is already showing an interest in fashion, Victoria has emphasized that her daughter is not ready for such high-end accessories just yet. “I want Harper to understand the value of these items, both financially and emotionally. Right now, they’re just too precious to be used as part of her everyday wardrobe,” Victoria explained.

For Victoria, fashion is about teaching her children the importance of hard work, humility, and respect for what they have. As she explained, her children have access to some of the best things in life, but they are also grounded in the values she and her husband, David Beckham, hold dear. The couple is known for their down-to-earth parenting style, making sure their children understand that luxury should not be the main focus in life.

Her collection of Hermès bags, many of which are considered collector’s items, has taken years to build. Each bag has its own story, and many were purchased during key moments in her life and career. “These bags aren’t just accessories for me; they are pieces of art,” she said, noting that she has curated her collection carefully, adding one or two bags at a time.

However, Victoria has made it clear that while Harper will one day be able to appreciate the bags and perhaps even inherit them, it will not be until she fully understands their significance. “I don’t think Harper needs to be carrying around a $50,000 bag at 12,” Victoria said, adding that she wants her daughter to develop her own sense of style and not be weighed down by expectations.

Victoria’s decision to keep her Hermès collection off-limits to Harper also reflects a broader trend among high-profile parents who are cautious about passing down luxury items to their children at a young age. Many celebrity families are opting to wait until their children are older and can appreciate both the financial and emotional value of such gifts.

In the meantime, Harper has her own budding style, often seen wearing fashion-forward yet age-appropriate pieces from her mother’s Victoria Beckham line, as well as casual, comfortable clothing. As Harper grows, it’s clear she’s developing her own love for fashion—but for now, her mother’s prized Hermès bags remain in the realm of aspiration, not yet for daily use.

In the future, Harper will undoubtedly inherit some of her mother’s legendary fashion pieces, but it seems Victoria Beckham is committed to making sure that when that day comes, it will be for the right reasons and at the right time. Until then, her Hermès bags will stay firmly in Victoria’s hands.
