Hexagon Cup holds draft as Andy Murray backed padel team bids to defend title in Madrid at star studded tournament

Line-ups for the second edition were confirmed after a draft was completed
The draft for the second edition of the Hexagon Cup padel tournament has been completed, with the Andy Murray packed AD/Vantage team bidding to defend their title.
AD/Vantage triumphed in the inaugural competition earlier this year in Madrid, which featured the best international padel players competing in six teams.
The tournament has expanded to eight teams for the second edition, with football stars Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero recently joining forces for the Kru Padel team.
Formula One driver Pierre Gasly and Ligue 1 side Lorient president Loic Fery have also entered the fray with their 10Padel team.
The draft has now taken place in Madrid to complete the line-ups, adding an additional men’s and women’s player to each team’s franchise stars, as well as Next Gen players.
AD/Vantage opted the retain their franchise players Martin Di Nenno and Delfina Brea after winning the title this year.
They have added Juan Tello in the men’s category and Sofia Araujo in the women’s, while Martina Calvo and Marta Borrero have been drafted in the Next Gen event.
The Next Gen women’s category is one of the new features included for the second edition of the tournament, which will run from January 29 to February 2 in the Spanish capital.
