The 5 men with the most indoor hard-court titles: Novak Djokovic with 19, Roger Federer No 1

Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray all feature on the list of players who have won the most ATP titles on indoor hard courts.

Here, we look at the five men who have won 10 or more titles on indoor hard-courts in the Open Era.

5. Jimmy Connors – 10

Jimmy Connors collected 10 titles on indoor hard courts, which accounts for 9.2% of his record 109 ATP singles titles.

The American’s first-ever career title was on indoor hard at the 1972 Jacksonville Open, while his final indoor hard-court title came in Toulouse in 1989.

The American won his indoor hard titles at eight different events, securing two in both Sydney and Toulouse.

4. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga – 13

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga claimed 13 indoor hard-court titles, which makes up 72.2% of the ATP singles titles he won.

The Frenchman won both his first and last career titles on indoor hard at the 2008 Thailand Open and the 2019 Moselle Open in Metz respectively.

Tsonga’s trophy haul on indoor hard courts features one Paris Masters crown, one ATP 500 in Rotterdam and 11 ATP 250 tournaments.

3. Andy Murray – 14

Andy Murray won 14 tournaments on indoor hard-court, which equates to 30.4% of his 46 career singles titles.

The Brit picked up his maiden indoor hard-court title at the 2006 Pacific Coast Championships in San Jose, while his final title was at an indoor hard-court event in Antwerp in 2019.

Murray’s title haul at indoor hard-court events is made up of one ATP Finals title, two Masters 1000 crowns, four ATP 500 events and seven 250s.

2. Novak Djokovic – 19

Novak Djokovic has secured 19 indoor hard-court titles, which accounts for 19.2% of the 99 ATP singles tournaments he has won.

The Serbian won his first title on indoor hard in Metz in 2006, while his most recent came at the 2023 ATP Finals in Turin.

Djokovic’s indoor hard-court trophy collection includes seven ATP Finals titles, seven Paris Masters crowns, three 500s and two ATP 250s.

1. Roger Federer – 24

Roger Federer holds the record for the most titles won on indoor hard courts with 24, which makes up 23.3% of his 103 career titles.

The Swiss won his maiden indoor hard-court title at the 2003 Vienna Open, while his last-ever title at the 2019 Swiss Indoors in Basel was on indoor hard.

Federer’s title haul on indoor hard features four of his ATP Finals crowns, two Masters 1000 titles, 12 ATP 500 events and six 250s.
