Victoria Beckham Says It’s ‘Flattering’ When Her Sons’ GFs Ask to Borrow Her Clothes

Victoria Beckham is the coolest — and chicest — mother-in-law around.

Beckham, 50, opened up about lending her clothes to her family members while chatting with Vogue’s Anna Wintour earlier this month. “I love my clothes, and I look after my clothes, but I think that clothes are also there to be enjoyed,” she said. “And if one of the young kids wants to borrow my clothes — whether it’s Harper or one of the boys’ girlfriends — that’s flattering, because they’re significantly younger than me,” she continued, noting that it also means her clothes are still in style today.

Victoria, who shares Harper, 13, along with sons Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 19, with husband David Beckham, shared that she’s not too sentimental about most items in her closet, “unless it’s Hermès.”

While she’s relaxed about her sons’ girlfriends and wives borrowing her clothes, Victoria is wary about lending Harper her handbags at a young age. “Not just yet,” she told Wintour, 74.

Victoria’s daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz Beckham has channeled the former Spice Girls’ look on multiple occasions, including earlier this month with a new haircut. On October 22, she took to Instagram to debut her new chop and darker strands.

In the snap, Peltz Beckham, who is married to Brooklyn, beamed as her dark brown bob was bluntly cut to her shoulders with face-framing pieces curling in at her chin.

Fans immediately compared her new ’do to Posh Spice in the comments section, gushing that she looked just like Victoria in the ’90s.

“Posh Spice vibes,” one wrote, as another added, “Channeling your MIL in the best way!”

Peltz Beckham previously borrowed a leather jacket from Victoria’s closet in February 2024 while stepping out with Brooklyn. The colorful piece, from Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring2001 collection, featured a white, blue and black striped pattern. At the time, she wore the jacket with blue jeans and platform heels.

Victoria originally sported the jacket in 2001 with checkered blue jeans and brown sunglasses.
