Victoria Beckham puts her own spin on the dress that won over Queen Letizia
The British designer is updating the olive green design from her Spring-Summer 2023 collection that was a sales success
Queen Letizia became Victoria Beckham’s “ultimate muse” in May 2023. The wife of King Felipe VI chose one of the British designer’s creations to dazzle at the gala dinner on the occasion of the coronation of King Charles III of England.
The Queen shone in a olive green midi dress that enhanced her figure thanks to the gathered fabric detail around the abdomen. In addition, she wore cape-style sleeves with openings and a flared skirt that added that sophisticated touch to the look. “Her Majesty the Queen of Spain looks amazing. She’s wearing one of my dresses!” exclaimed the excited British woman.
Months before, Victoria had been seen wearing this design from her Spring-Summer 2023 collection, which Bella Hadid had showcased on the runway. Beckham wore it in New York for a date with her husband David, pairing it with pointed stiletto booties and a large clutch with a gold chain.
A year and a half later, and after making this design one of the best sellers for the brand, the designer has surprised in the Big Apple with a version of the dress, in the same flattering olive green tone and with a similar pattern.
The design, which stylizes the female figure, now features a pronounced V-neckline and a closed sleeve with a puffed effect. The waist gathering disappears but maintains a cut that helps enhance the effect of a slim silhouette, and the skirt has a flared hem.
