Caitlin Clark is set to face off against Nelly Korda next month, expressing her deep admiration for the golfer

Caitlin Clark and Nelly Korda will go head-to-head in an LPGA Pro-Am – and the basketball phenom has made her admiration for the golf star clear.

Caitlin Clark is set to face off against golfing prodigy Nelly Korda next month, expressing her deep admiration for the 26-year-old golfer. The Indiana Fever guard has previously hinted at a potential shift to professional golf during the basketball off-season.

Although she won’t be hitting the greens full-time just yet, it’s been confirmed that she’ll participate in the LPGA Pro-Am competition on November 13, where she’ll also serve as a panelist at the Women’s Leadership Summit. Alongside tournament host and 10-time major winner Annika Sorenstam, Clark will play nine holes with Korda in the 18-hole pro-am.

Korda’s influence on women’s golf has been likened to the significant impact Clark has had on women’s basketball. Korda kicked off the year with six wins in her first eight starts, leading many to wonder if she could have a Clark-like effect on the LPGA.
