Iga Swiatek’s next coach set to be Agnieszka Radwanska’s husband Dawid Celt? Exploring the possibility
Iga Swiatek cut ties with her long-time coach Tomasz Wiktorowski after nearly three years earlier this month, heralding the beginning of a new era. Now, the tennis world is eagerly waiting to see who the World No. 1 will hire next to be in charge of her team.
During the split announcement on social media, Swiatek made an interesting comment, hinting that her next full-time coach is likely to be someone who is not Polish. For context, Wiktorowski is Polish as well, and before him the five-time Grand Slam champ partnered another Pole — Piotr Sierzputowski.
“Due to this important change on my team, I give myself a couple of weeks to start a cooperation with a new coach. I’m in the middle of first talks with coaches from abroad (non-Polish), because I’m ready to take the next step in my career. I will let you know when I make a decision,” Swiatek had written.
