Sir Andy Murray lodges planning application to extend his luxury Scots hotel
Andy and Kim Murray have lodged a planning application for a new restaurant and three new bedrooms at their hotel, the Cromlix in Dunblane, Perthshire.
Andy Murray is bidding to extend his Dunblane hotel as he submitted a planning application for the addition of a new restaurant there.
Murray and his wife Kim run the luxury, country house hotel the Cromlix and the couple are now seeking to build a new 80-cover restaurant would replace the hotel’s current dining space, The Glasshouse, and will be an extension to the existing footprint of the Victorian mansion, sitting in a new location overlooking the hotel’s extensive back lawn.
Three new ground-floor bedrooms will also be created within the main building, converting current kitchen space into an accessible suite and two Cottage rooms.
An additional bedroom is also being added onto the first floor, meaning that in total the main house will go from 15 bedrooms to 19 – with a further bedroom in the Gate Lodge.
Cromlix was completely refurbished in 2023 in a project overseen by Kim Murray, renovating all of the bedrooms and bathrooms, creating a new bar area and entrance, upgrading the restaurant and all other common areas of the hotel.
