Andy Murray asks for tips as he becomes a beginner in sport again

We told you how the Scottish sporting superstar had wasted little time in entering his first competition in his new sport after saying an emotional goodbye to tennis at the Olympics.

There were also emotional scenes when the Scot said goodbye to Wimbledon earlier in the summer.

The Scot, a junior member at Dunblane golf club earlier in his life, has indicated that he’d like to channel his energies into being a scratch golfer.

He’s not the kind of character to bet against – and he’s already made a decent start as it’s been revealed that he’s already playing this week off a 7 handicap.

Having said that, he’s got a bit of catching up to do when it comes to his two-team-mates.

England cricket star Jimmy Anderson is playing this week off 1.8 while Strictly Come Dancing star Anton du Beke plays off just 1.

There’s some other Scottish talent in action, with Scottish Olympic swimming sensation Duncan Scott playing off 13 in his four-ball with Korean pro Beyong Hun An.

He ‘s playing with his swimming pal James Guy (10,5) and English female golf star Georgia Ball.
