GAINESVILLE, Va. — It was a birdie from Lilia Vu on the 18th hole at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club that ultimately clinched the Solheim Cup for the U.S. Team. The Americans defeated Europe 15.5 to 12.5 to claim their first Solheim Cup victory since 2017, finishing the business they started last year at Finca Cortesin in Spain after the first 14-14 tie in the history of the biennial team competition.
