David Beckham and Prince William set to go head-to-head as major clash looms

David Beckham and Prince William appear set to go head-to-head as Aston Villa and Paris Saint Germain will play in the Champions League quarter-final in France.

Prince William has received an invite from PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi to attend the much-anticipated fixture in the French capital.

Earlier this month, Prince William confirmed his plans to support Villa after the team secured their spot in the final eight of the prestigious competition.

The Prince of Wales was among the 40,000 fans at Villa Park to see the Birmingham-based football club comfortably defeat Belgian side Club Brugge to reach the quarter-finals.

As William was leaving the stadium, he appeared to confirm to journalists that he would be heading to Paris for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.

The Prince of Wales said: “See you in Paris” as he walked to his car.

Villa will play the French champions on April 9 in the first leg of the fixture.

The teams will then face each other in Birmingham in the deciding match to determine which side advances to the Semi-finals.

David Beckham was seen posing for photos alongside fans inside the Parc De Princes as he watched his former side, Paris Saint-Germain, take on Liverpool in the last round of the Champions League.

After finishing the two-legged fixture tied at 1-1 on aggregate, PSG defeated the Reds 4-1 on penalties.
