David Beckham issues two-word warning to son Brooklyn as he hints at huge life decision

Brooklyn Beckham has joked that he would consider a switch into motor-racing after stints as both a professional chef and photographer

David Beckham issued a two-word warning ahead of his son Brooklyn taking part in the Formula E Evo Sessions. The 49-year-old England legend reportedly told his son to “be careful” before he jumped into Jaguar’s higher performance single-seater in Miami.

Brooklyn, 26, was one of several influencers and public figures to jump into a Formula E car as the series looked to boost its public profile during the gargantuan two-month gap between races. Brooklyn went up against the likes of YouTuber Mr Beast, Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero and Harry Potter actor Tom Felton during the event.

Speaking about the role of motor-racing in his relationship with his father, he told Closer UK that it had been something that he and David had “bonded over the years” and that despite his father’s obvious concerns, he said he was “excited” about his son jumping into a racing car.

Whether Brooklyn could switch from being a lifestyle oriented figure to a serious racing driver is unknown, but according to publication The Race, Brooklyn’s pace improved promisingly over the course of the three-day event.

What’s more, Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Petlz-Beckham, suggested he could successfully make a career change. He told media outlets before the race weekend: “She was a little bit worried.
