Mel B reveals ‘weird and terrible’ moment Tom Cruise hijacked Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday
Mel appeared not to get the joke from one of Tom's movies
MEL B has revealed Tom Cruise performed a “weird and terrible” dance at fellow Spice Girl Victoria Beckham’s birthday bash.
The Hollywood actor’s rendition of his over-the-top moves from the comedy film Tropic Thunder were the talk of Posh’s 50th party last year.
In the film Mission: Impossible star Tom plays bald, overweight movie producer Les Grossman — who performs a cringe-worthy hip-hop dance to Get Back by Ludacris during the credits.
But, talking on new Netflix show Celebrity Bear Hunt, 49-year-old Mel appeared not to get the joke.
She said: “We were at Victoria’s 50th birthday and her son, Cruz, started singing Mama on the guitar and David (Beckham) was like pushing us all up.
“All five of us were singing and then Tom Cruise made a circle and he did that dance from that movie, for some reason.
“We were all like dancing away and he goes ‘Come on, man! Come on!’ He starts getting together this circle.
“So he goes in the circle first — Tom Cruise! — and starts doing all this . . . (imitates gyrating).”
“I went ‘Oh my God!’ and that’s why I left the circle. It was the weirdest dance.”
On Celebrity Bear Hunt, presented by Holly Willoughby, contestants including Mel, Strictly judge Shirley Ballas and model Lottie Moss must evade capture by survival expert Bear Grylls.
