Celebrity Bear Hunt star Boris Becker calls Mel B’s personality a ‘challenge’ as he says her snoring is as ‘scary’ as a crocodile infested river

Celebrity Bear Hunt star Boris Becker has called Mel B’s personality a ‘challenge’ and said her snoring is as ‘scary’ as a crocodile infested river.

The German tennis player, 57, is among the stars taking part in the adventure show filmed in Costa Rica, which airs on Wednesday.

Billed as ‘the ultimate survival challenge’, the Netflix programme sees a group of unlikely celebrities get dropped into the Central American jungle as prey for one of the world’s most fearsome predators – Bear Grylls.

Speaking to MailOnline at the new Netflix show’s screening on Tuesday night, ahead of its debut, Boris made his feelings on co-star Spice Girl Mel B clear.

When asked which was scarier, ‘a crocodile infested River or Mel B’s snoring’, Boris replied: ‘Both are scary.’

Elaborating on his time spent with the Spice Girl, 49, he added: ‘On the other hand, Mel B’s quite a personality, so that’s another challenge in itself.’

When I was in that little boat with crocodiles all around us, you pinch yourself saying, “if I fall now off the boat with crocodiles underneath me, nobody’s close enough to save me. What’s going to happen?”,’ he said as he recalled his scary time with the aquatic creatures.

Boris also revealed that during filming the celebrity he got closest to was Big Zuu, as he said: ‘Believe it or not Big Zuu and me we bonded.

‘World’s apart. Age wise. Experience wise. He looks different than me. We almost became a couple.’

On whether the pair would be catching up soon to play some tennis, he added: ‘Only if he gives me some of his cooking lessons.

‘I was looking over your shoulder when he was cooking in front of the fire outside and he’s just an unbelievable character. He certainly cooks better than me. So I’m gonna to squeeze him for a couple lessons.’

Also speaking to the Mail, Mel B revealed if any of her fellow Spice Girls would ever take on Celebrity Bear Hunt.

She formed the Spice Girls with Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner, Melanie C and Emma Bunton – but wasn’t sure if any of them would be brave enough to do the show.
