Coachella heartbreak! From Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to Selena Gomez and The Weeknd – the festival-loving couples who crashed and burned after wild weekends in the desert

It is the iconic festival adored by the rich and famous for letting their down and making a fashion statement.
But the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has also become a hot bed for celebrity romances, with stars using the occasion as an excuse to publicly display their relationships.
From Selena Gomez and The Weekend’s major PDA to Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s rare outing just weeks before they split for good – the festival has a reputation for capturing key relationship milestones.
One couple who have used this year’s Coachella, in California, to show off their love are Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet as they sweetly held hands.
Meanwhile married couple Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz packed on the PDA as during a performance by Benson Boone.
But which festival-loving couples didn’t quite last the distance? MailOnline takes a look at the Coachella romances which fell by the wayside.
Selena Gomez dated The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, for 10 months in 2017 before they split
The singers could barely keep their hands – or indeed their lips – off each other as they packed on the PDAs in the VIP section of the festival back in April 2017.
The duo were spotted with their arms around each other and smooching as they semi-paid attention to the Main Stage.
Selena and The Weeknd went public in January 2017, when they were spotted being affectionate outside of Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California.
After their Coachella outing, they were seen together at the Met Gala in May and the Harper’s Bazaar Icons event, both in NYC, and Selena attended his September 16 concert in Philadelphia.
But the pair split later that year after just 10 months together, with People reporting at the time that they were having trouble for ‘months’.
Their turmoil came because of their difficult schedules while he was on tour, and she was filming the Woody Allen movie A Rainy Day In New York in NYC.
