We’re Actually Doing It” – Nelly Korda Confirms Wild Crossover With Tennis Star That Has Everyone Talking

Nelly Korda has never been afraid to take a bold swing — but this time, it’s not on the golf course. In a surprise announcement that lit up social media and sent fans spiraling with excitement, the world No. 1 golfer revealed she’s planning a one-of-a-kind crossover event with none other than tennis legend Serena Williams.

Yes, you read that right — Korda and Serena are teaming up for a high-profile, multi-sport challenge that blends their elite talents, fierce competitive spirits, and massive fan bases. The event, set to be called “Queens of the Court & Course,” will feature both athletes stepping into each other’s arenas for one unforgettable day.

“We’re actually doing it,” Korda said during a livestream. “I’ve admired Serena since I was a kid. She changed the game — not just in tennis, but in sports overall. So when the idea came up, I was like, ‘Let’s go all in.’”

The format? A split event featuring nine holes of golf and a quick-set tennis match, with each athlete coaching — and then challenging — the other in her own sport. Korda will guide Serena through her first official round of golf, while Serena will take Nelly onto the hardcourt for her first public match under tennis rules.

The event will be filmed, partially live-streamed, and hosted as a fundraiser for girls’ athletic programs across the U.S.

Serena responded in classic style: “Let’s just say… Nelly better bring that same fire to the tennis court that she brings to the green. Because I’m not going easy.”
