Nelly Korda Opens Up About the Only Weather Phenomenon That Sends Her Into a Panic Before Every Trip

Nelly Korda, one of the world’s top professional golfers, has revealed that there is one specific weather phenomenon that always sends her into a state of panic before traveling to any destination. In a recent interview, Nelly shared that she has an intense fear of tornadoes, which always makes her second-guess her travel plans.

Despite her calm and collected demeanor on the course, Nelly admits that the thought of encountering a tornado is something she can’t shake off. “It’s just something about the unpredictability of tornadoes that gets to me,” Nelly explained. “The sheer power they have and how quickly they can turn a situation into chaos makes me nervous every time I travel.”

Nelly mentioned that while many people might not think twice about flying into tornado-prone regions, the idea of being caught in one sends her into overdrive. “I always check the weather forecast before a trip, and if there’s even a slight chance of a tornado, it makes me rethink my plans.”

Though Nelly has never experienced a tornado firsthand, her anxiety around them remains. She admitted that it’s a fear that she’s still trying to manage as she continues to travel the globe for tournaments. “It’s just one of those things I can’t control, but I do my best to prepare for the worst just in case.”

For Nelly, the fear of tornadoes is the only weather condition that brings her such unease, and it’s clear that even a seasoned athlete like her has moments where the unpredictability of nature makes her feel vulnerable.
