Victoria Beckham may be a fashion icon in her own right, but her latest look proves no one is above an Olsen tuck.
After presenting her namesake label’s offerings at Paris Fashion Week, Beckham exited her hotel on Saturday in a simple yet statement-making ensemble. As she stepped out in a khaki trench coat, she tightened the outerwear’s belt, and allowed her famous brown bob to be tucked into the jacket’s high collar.
The hairstyling trick (or perhaps, lack of) was namely popularised in the late 2000s by the Olsen twins—now also heads of their own label, The Row—and the look has since been widely adopted by everyone from Hailey Bieber to Katie Holmes, and now Beckham herself. The subtle tuck elevates any outfit, as the designer demonstrates, even if said ensemble is mainly just a Great Coat™.
Letting her jacket (and subsequent hair tuck) do the talking, the fashion designer completed her look with some dark-wash denim, allowing a pair of bootcut jeans peek out from underneath her coat. She accessorised her baby pink manicure with a handful of diamond rings, including her engagement ring, and finished off her outfit with a bold pair of oversized sunglasses from her own label. The ‘70s-style eyewear shaded much of her face, while the bottom half of her face was hidden beneath her coat’s collar. (Fashionable introverts, take note.)
