David Beckham makes ‘painful’ family admission as soccer legend accepts brutal reality

David Beckham has spoken about his fears over his four children leaving home, admitting that the thought of having an empty house is "painful" to him

Soccer legend David Beckham has shared his heartache over the changing dynamics of his family life, revealing that the thought of an empty nest is “painful.”

The soccer icon opened up about the quietness of his home now that only his youngest child remains. With four children – Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13 – with fashion designer wife Victoria, Beckham has always been vocal about his joy in fatherhood.

He’s a regular on social media, posting snapshots of family time, whether it’s cheering on Harper at her soccer matches, celebrating special occasions, or just enjoying each other’s company.

In an interview with Men’s Health UK, Beckham expressed his feelings: “We’re not quite there yet, but it’s actually painful. We’ve gone from having four in the house to one. What I would give to have that back and be able to walk in, moaning to them about it [wet towels on bedroom floors]! That said, my boys are pretty good. They’ll always ask me to the pub when they go with their mates.

Brooklyn, Beckham’s firstborn, tied the knot with actress and model Nicola Peltz in 2022 and is now predominantly based in the US. Romeo, who once chased his father’s legacy on the soccer field with Brentford’s B team, has shifted his focus to the world of fashion.
