David Beckham is joined by sons Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, as they watch Inter Miami’s thrilling MLS opener against New York City FC

David Beckham was joined by his two younger sons Romeo and Cruz as he watched his team Inter Miami’s thrilling opener for the MLS season against New York City FC on Saturday.
The former Manchester United star, 49, watched on as his team secured a 2-2 draw, thanks to two assists from superstar Lionel Messi.
Watching from the stands at Chase Stadium, David, Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, struggled to contain their excitement as they watched the match unfold.
Serena Williams also made a surprise appearance during the game, and was gifted with a personalised jersey by David.
Messi did have to find the back of the net to make an impact as Inter Miami drew 2-2 with New York City FC in their MLS season opener.
The Argentine’s heroics came in the form of his playmaking as he assisted both goals for the Herons in the opening and closing minutes of the contest.
Messi is entering his third season with the team and second full MLS campaign. In 2024, he played just 19 fixtures and tallied 20 goals with 16 assists while being limited by injuries.
Miami have not lost since their 2024 MLS season came to an end in the hands of Atlanta United.
Over the offseason, they won two and drew three club friendlies before defeating Sporting Kansas City, 1-0 in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
The two teams will rematch in the second leg of their matchup on Tuesday. Miami will continue their MLS quest on March 2 against the Houston Dynamo.
It comes after Romeo declared his love for girlfriend Kim Turnbull with a Valentine’s Day Instagram post.
In the first photograph, Romeo and Kim, 23, smiled as they snuggled up together in a romantic fashion.
He captioned the post: ‘I love you so much’, and left a white heart emoji beside his words.
