Iga Swiatek makes brutally honest admission about her attitude after Dubai Tennis Championships heartbreak

Iga Swiatek has openly discussed her recent performance at the Dubai Tennis Championships, attributing her quarter-final exit to a lack of preparation time. She emphasized the challenges posed by the demanding WTA calendar, which often requires players to participate in back-to-back tournaments with minimal recovery and practice periods. Swiatek noted that the frequent transitions between continents, surfaces, and ball types make it difficult to maintain consistent high-level performance.

Reflecting on her defeat to 17-year-old Mirra Andreeva, Swiatek candidly stated, “Honestly, I’m not that direct usually, but I would blame this performance on the lack of practice before because I didn’t have time.” She expressed dissatisfaction with her results and plans to discuss with her team to adjust her training approach.

This admission highlights the physical and mental demands placed on top players like Swiatek, who must balance rigorous competition schedules with the need for adequate rest and preparation.
