Great comeback by Victoria Azarenka at the 2025 WTA Dubai. While in the previous tournament in Doha she fell in the first round to the future winner, Amanda Anisimova, the Belarusian deciphered the key to not repeat the same mistake. Azarenka ended up defeating Anhelina Kalinina by 2-6 7-6(4) 6-4 and will now face the next round. However, she will now have to climb an even higher mountain, as her next opponent will be the world number 2, Iga Swiatek.
