EXCLUSIVE: Victoria Beckham ‘desperate’ over latest career move – ‘It could be a risk’

Victoria Beckham is ‘hoping to emulate’ her husbands TV success in a new Netflix show that will offer an inside look into her reinvention as a Creative Director of her own brand
Viewers were gripped when three-part documentary Beckham was released on Netflix in October 2023. It explored the dramatic highs and lows of former Manchester United footballer David’s career and offered a fascinating look at his life with wife Victoria and their children. Now, fans of the multi-million pound Brand Beckham empire are set for another rare insight into one of the world’s most famous families – and this time the focus will be on former Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer Victoria.
Netflix is said to be putting the final touches on the docuseries, which it announced last summer, reports OK!. In its teaser tweet on social media, it said, “In the most Posh news ever, a Victoria Beckham documentary series is now in production. The series will follow her reinvention as a Creative Director of her own brand – offering exclusive access to Victoria, her fashion and beauty business, and her never-before-seen archives.”
If the series is a success, it has the potential to make Victoria – who is mum to Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 13 – as adored in America as she is in Britain. If it’s not, it could be a PR disaster, rather than the career boost she hopes for.
A source has claimed that Victoria is “desperate” for the show to be a hit. “She thinks and hopes it’s going to go really well, but with this kind of TV there is always a risk that it might backfire in some way,” they said. “Perhaps some people might not find her funny, or warm..”
The as-yet-untitled series, which is being made by David’s own television production company, Studio 99, will explore Victoria’s career and her time in the international spotlight. But although Victoria, 50, will be the focus of the show, it’s believed she won’t be directly interviewed.
