The first WTA 1000 of the season is here: the WTA Doha 2025, where Iga Swiatek defends the trophy. The Polish player, ranked number two in the world, will not have an easy start with a potential debut against Maria Sakkari. The challenge doesn’t get easier in the top half, where Aryna Sabalenka awaits in the second round for the winner between Emma Raducanu and Ekaterina Alexandrova. Paula Badosa will make her debut in Qatar against Katerina Siniakova, currently the only Spanish player in the main draw.
