Victoria Beckham has divided fans after her daughter Harper walked onto the Inter Miami pitch with Lionel Messi.
Harper, 13, was one of the mascots for the game between Inter Miami and Charlotte FC. She walked out onto the pitch holding hands with Messi, who is considered one of the greatest soccer players of all time.
Some fans were happy for Harper and said it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Others said it was unfair that she was given the chance to walk out with Messi just because her father, David Beckham, is one of the owners of Inter Miami.
Victoria Beckham posted a photo of Harper and Messi on her Instagram account. She captioned the photo: “Another great win last night in Miami!!! Special moment for Harper waking out with @leomessi kisses xxxx”
Some of the comments on the photo were positive, with people saying things like: “Awww she’s growing so quickly. Beautiful Harper Seven!” and “I’m so jealous of Beckham’s daughter.”
However, other comments were more negative, with people saying things like: “Beckham’s daughter. Very privileged” and “This should be walk out for small kids, not kids with money and connections.”
Despite the negative comments, Harper seemed to enjoy the experience. She was all smiles as she walked onto the pitch with Messi.
