With Kate Middleton in high demand for Vogue covers, insiders say that she’s turned to Victoria Beckham for guidance
It has been an encouraging and exciting start to the new year for Kate Middleton, who, after announcing that she is in remission from an undisclosed form of cancer, is now said to be in talks for the global covers of esteemed fashion bible Vogue.
And insiders say that as she hopes to step up her public-facing duties as she returns to full health, the Princess of Wales has turned to fashion powerhouse Victoria Beckham – a close pal of the royals along with football legend hubby David – for her expertise.
The source says, ‘After everything she’s been through, Kate’s keen to shake things up a bit and start making more of her position as a global fashion icon. She’s always enjoyed that side of royal duties with film premieres, Royal Variety Shows and Wimbledon, for example, and she is keen to embrace more of the glamour and do more things that light her up.
‘When the Vogue offer came in, Kate immediately went to Victoria for advice, given she’s always been someone she can trust. If there’s anyone who knows the world of high fashion, it’s her.’
Celebrated for her stylish wardrobe, Kate, 43, appeared on the cover of British Vogue in June 2016 as part of the publication’s 100th anniversary. According to reports, Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour has approached Kate via an intermediary to offer her worldwide Vogue covers, which include UK and US versions.
A source said, ‘The princess has come a long way since that first cover. She’s a global fashion icon but she is so much more. Her brave battle against cancer while raising three young children in the public eye makes her a role model to millions. Her story would be an inspiration to so many women going through what she has gone through.’
Kate – who is mum to George, 11, Charlotte, nine and Louis, six, with husband Prince William, 42 – revealed at the end of last month that she was in remission from cancer, after going public with her diagnosis in March 2024. As she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy, a source previously divulged that former Spice Girl Victoria, 50, and her husband David, 49, had been in touch with Kate, offering supportive messages and even a pamper package.
The insider added last year, ‘Once Kate has fully recovered, Vic would love to work with her, as well as help style her and see her use her products.’
