Victoria Beckham’s show praise from Netflix leaves Meghan Markle ‘humiliated’
Last week, Victoria Beckham received high praise from Netflix executives for her upcoming series. However, her former friend Meghan’s series was not mentioned.
Netflix’s chief content officer, Bela Bajara, did not mention a single current or former Sussex project, including the duchess’ forthcoming entertaining series With Love, Meghan when she spoke at Los Angeles’ Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles at the Next On Netflix showcase last week,
During the portion of Bajara’s presentation where it would have been natural to include With Love, as she was talking up Netflix’s new reality content like a new Eddie Murphy documentary and a show about Dallas Cowboys NFL, it was instead blanked, according to reports.
However, someone who did earn praise from Bajara, was Victoria Beckham, with Netflix sharing their “excitement” about her new untitled docu-series including playing the audience a secret squirrel 90-second clip.
To add insult to injury comedian John Mulaney, quipped: “Not since Harry and Meghan has Netflix given more money to someone without a specific plan.”
It comes as reports have said David Beckham and the couple’s sons are said to be against any attempts at Victoria rebuilding the relationship with the Sussexes after they fell out.
David’s position on the ongoing tensions between the Royal Family and the Sussexes appears to be significantly shaped by his longstanding and close relationship with the monarchy.
According to an insider who spoke to In Touch, Beckham has developed a particularly tight-knit friendship with Prince William.
The source elaborated that Beckham enjoys spending time with William and has firmly aligned himself with both the Prince and Princess of Wales, showing unwavering support in their public and personal endeavors.
This alignment is so strong that the insider indicated Beckham views any potential reconciliation with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as an act of disloyalty toward William and Kate.
