Iga Swiatek releases message on social media as Australian Open concludes and confirms where she’ll be playing next

Iga Swiatek provides an honest assessment of her 2025 Australian Open campaign.

The Pole entered the tournament in good form after guiding Poland to the United Cup final, where she lost to Coco Gauff and the United States.

She was certainly back to her best at the Australian Open where she equalled her best result by reaching the semi-finals.

Therefore Swiatek is feeling much more confident about her game than she did at the end of 2024 and is now ready for the next portion of her season.

Iga Swiatek produced arguably her most dominant run at a hard court grand Slam in games lost and sets.

The World number two stormed through to the semi-finals at Melbourne Park Swiatek did not drop a set and lost just 14 games.

This is the fewest since Maria Sharapova lost just nine games en route to the 2013 Australian Open semi-finals.

Like the Russian her campaign also ended at that stage as Swiatek lost a three-set epic to Madison Keys, who went on to beat Aryna Sabalenka and win her first Grand Slam title.

Following their match, Swiatek told Keys on social media: “Huge congratulations. You played amazing. All the best.”

Now five days after the crushing loss, Swiatek took to social media platform X to share her thoughts on the campaign.

“Australia 2025: a great, solid time. More satisfaction, colors, good experiences,” the five-time Grand Slam champion wrote.

“Although of course there is an insufficiency related to the result itself, looking realistically we see and know what a good job we did.”
