Nelly Korda Becomes Her Home City’s Vocal Supporter

The Sunshine City of Florida has not been very sunny since last year. To begin with, Category 3 Hurricane Milton landed at Siesta Key just before 8:30 p.m. in October 2024, packing 120 mph winds. The storm unleashed life-threatening storm surges, fierce winds, and widespread power outages across multiple counties in Bradenton.

Months after it started showing signs of normalcy, Nelly Korda put up a big cheer for her hometown. Famous bars like the Anna Maria Island Oyster and others were reopened by the end of October. Come January, the city has almost recovered every damage caused.

Sharing the update, Nelly Korda announced, “Recently, my hometown of Bradenton Florida was impacted by several hurricanes. But I am super excited to say that through the resilience of the people in Bradenton beautiful beaches and restaurants are now open to visitors. So go out, enjoy, and most importantly have fun.”

Nelly Korda’s video was shared by the official Instagram page of ‘Visit Bradenton Gulf Islands.’ The 2024 LPGA Tour season is yet to start but she sure will head to Bradenton Country Club for the Cognizant Founders Cup from February 6 to 9.
