Nelly Korda suffers same fate as Charley Hull, being forced to send a public statement to save people from “scammers”

Nelly Korda recently shared a statement through her Instagram profile on January 11, 2025, where she warned her fans against alleged scammers. The LPGA Tour pro is an active Instagram user and currently, she has 1 million followers there.

In the post, Korda explained to her fans about the incident which made her release a public statement. According to the golfer, there has been a recent surge in different accounts that often pose as the athlete herself. She further clarified that she only has social media accounts on X and Instagram, not TikTok. Nelly Korda shared her official statement on her Instagram and wrote in the caption:

“Hey everyone – I’ve unfortunately seen a huge rise in fake accounts posing as me. Please know I will never ask for money or do any direct fan outreach from my accounts. Thank you for all your support, and I can’t wait to get the 2025 season going.”

Korda’s fellow pro golfer Charley Hull suffered from a similar incident. Back on December 4, 2024, Hull revealed that a lot of scammers were trying to extort money and gift cards. She further added that fake accounts which were fooling her fans in the name of meet-and-greet sessions were at large. Charley Hull released an official statement on her Instagram too with the caption:
