Nelly Korda on how her $25,495-worth TrackMan affects her natural game: “I lose my feel”
Nelly Korda’s dominance in the 2024 season is hardly questionable given her multiple victories and the LPGA Player of the Year award. However, the World No. 1 recently shared that she doesn’t use simulators and launchpads for practice.
TrackMan golf simulator and Quad launchpads are all the hype amongst golfers currently. Golfers use simulators and launchpads to practice when going to the course is not possible. Many top players have them installed in their home gyms. And while Nelly Korda does have them in her garage, she doesn’t really use them.
The US golfer recently appeared on the Five Clubs Show of the Golf Channel. She told host Gary Williams:
“I have a TrackMan, I don’t use it. I have a Quad, I don’t really use it. They kind of just sit pretty in my garage,” she laughed.
She further talked about her approach towards her shots and games and how using a simulator would affect that.
“I don’t take a deep dive in the analytics. I don’t take a deep dive in the numbers. I just don’t want to lose my feel and how I envision the shots. Because I feel like when I start to put in the numbers, I lose my feel-feel. And that’s not how I was raised and that’s not how I started playing the game.”
