Australian Open seeds 2025: Full list of women’s seedings

Aryna Sabalenka returns as top seed as she seeks a third Australian Open in a row, but faces competition from Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff

MELBOURNE — Martina Hingis, Monica Seles, Steffi Graf and Margaret Court.

They are the names that Aryna Sabalenka is trying to join this year by winning her third Australian Open title in a row, the first woman to do so for 26 years: Hingis, the most recent to do so, won her third in 1999.

Sabalenka started her season in near-perfect fashion, winning the title in Brisbane and dropping just one set in the process, to cement her status as the top seed in Melbourne.

Her biggest challenge may come not from Iga Swiatek, whom she can only face in the final, but from the No 3 seed Coco Gauff.
The American helped her nation to United Cup victory as a warm-up for the Australian Open, and has won 18 of her last 20 matches, including her most recent clash with Sabalenka in Riyadh last year.
