Iga Swiatek recently spoke about attending Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Liverpool, United Kingdom last year. The Pole admittedly broke into tears twice, as it was surreal for her to experience the American pop icon’s music live.
Swiatek has been an ardent fan of Taylor Swift’s music, to the extent that she has even discussed some albums from the singer-songwriter’s discography like Midnights, Evermore, Folklore, and The Tortured Poets Department. Last June, the five-time Major winner saw Swift perform for the first time during the latter’s Eras Tour concert in Liverpool.
Iga Swiatek later revealed that she cried upon seeing Taylor Swift appear on the stage. The 23-year-old also received a handwritten letter from Taylor Swift following the concert. Earlier this week in Perth, the Pole delved deeper into the experience, disclosing that she had cried not once but twice during the entire gig.
“Oh, amazing. I cried twice,” Iga Swiatek said during a media interaction at the United Cup. “First, I cried just because I saw her. I don’t know, I spent my whole life looking at her over the internet. And suddenly, she was there on the stage and she felt so real, you know? And then, I get a handwritten note from her, so then I cried again. So, it was a great experience.”
