The 2024 Grant Thornton Invitational concluded its second edition on Sunday, December 15, at the Tiburon Golf Club. The mixed-field event featured 16 teams of PGA Tour and LPGA Tour players.
It was a three-day event, and after 54 holes of play, Patty Tavatanakit and Jake Knapp topped the leaderboard at 27-under. They were followed by Atthaya Thitikul and Tom Kim in second place.
While some teams improved their game, others struggled. Nelly Korda and Daniel Berger settled in 13th place in the 16-team field, while last year’s champions Lydia Ko and Jason Day also had a tough time on the greens. Here are the five worst-performing teams at the 2024 Grant Thornton Invitational.

#1 Daniel Berger and Nelly Korda
Korda and Berger started well with a solid round of 63. However, they struggled in the second round. They shot four birdies and two bogeys on Saturday, December 14, for a round of 2-under 70, and then shot 5-under 67 in the finale on Sunday, tying for 13th place at 16-under. Last year, Korda played at the Grant Thornton Invitational with Tony Finau, and they were tied for fourth on the leaderboard.
#2 Sahith Theegala and Allisen Corpuz
Sahith Theegala and Allisen Corpuz also had a tough time on the greens at the 2024 Grant Thornton Invitational. They started with an incredible round of 61 but shot 71 in the second round and 67 in the final round.
