Away From Tennis, Iga Swiatek Proudly Flaunts Her Cooking Skills While Capturing the Honest Reaction of Her Coach
Iga Swiatek certainly knows how to excel in the things she sets her mind to. Whether it’s tennis or embarking into a new field, the WTA star’s determination and spirit always boost her. Now, it’s cooking. Despite admitting her lack of cooking skills, Swiatek took on the challenge and perfected a dish for her new Belgian coach, Wim Fissette. Fissette’s reaction, captured on camera, highlighted how Swiatek aced the endeavor – proving once again that she’s a true champion, no matter the field.
Fissette joined Swiatek’s team in October right after the Polish player parted ways with her former coach Tomasz Wiktorowski amicably. Upon Fissette’s inclusion, Swsiatek expressed great motivation and zeal. “excited and motivated to start a new chapter,” wrote the WTA star on her IG profile showcasing her enthusiasm about working with this Belgian coach. Recently, she expressed a special gesture that proves that the team is off to a great start.
Swiatek took to her IG story to share her psychologist Daria Abramowicz’s update where they are seen enjoying some coffee and pierogi at the star’s place. In the next story, Swiatek uploaded a reel where her Belgian coach tried those dumplings/pierogi made by her. Fissette looked delighted as he pulled his chair forward to enjoy the dish. “He liked it,” wrote Swiatek.
This Polish WTA star’s attempt impressed her followers since Swiatek previously confessed her challenges with cooking. “For cooking. I can’t even follow a recipe and that’s it, I guess. I know that when a stage in my life comes when I care about it, I will learn it, but now I don’t even have time for it,” she said in an interview with a Polish newspaper. After this confession, Swiatek’s gesture for her Belgian coach really puts to display her dedication to learning new things. During her conversation with Tennis Klub, Swiatek once said, “Oh no, I can’t cook. I’d really like to and I’d probably even find the time for it, but I’m completely untalented in the kitchen. I hope that won’t stop me from finding a husband (laughter).” Now it seemed that she finally found her way to learning this skill.
