Brooklyn Beckham joins Gen Z’s marathon video call trend

Couple have nine-hour ‘FaceTime sleepovers’ when they’re apart

Brooklyn Beckham’s wife has revealed the couple video call each other while they sleep when he’s away.

Nicola Peltz Beckham, 29, admitted the couple have “FaceTime sleepovers” when they’re not together.

She shared a screenshot on her Instagram showing the pair had logged a call more than nine hours long overnight, having started at 11.36pm and hanging up at 9am.

Brooklyn, 25, the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, had been on a trip to Mexico to promote his new hot sauce.

The budding chef and photographer married the actress – who is the daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, 82, and Claudia Heffner, 69 – in 2022.

But the families were engulfed in controversy with a rumoured fall-out between Victoria, former Spice Girl, and her at the time future daughter-in-law before the wedding.

The rift is reported to have needed intervention from David, the England and Manchester United footballer, meaning the clans could play happy families at Paris Fashion Week in 2022.

Nicola posted a picture of her FaceTime call log on Wednesday, and wrote: “Who else sleeps on FaceTime when their best friend travels?”

FaceTime sleepovers are said to be a growing trend among young people, but experts have warned they could be a sign of over-dependence.

Jessica Alderson, a relationship expert for the dating app So Syncd, told the Daily Mail: “FaceTime sleepovers can have their downsides.

“As with any relationship, it’s important to maintain healthy boundaries and not become overly dependent on your partner, whether that’s physically or virtually.
