Andy Murray makes stunning return to tennis as one of his biggest rivals appoints him as COACH
He will step onto the court ahead of the Australian Open
ANDY MURRAY bowed out of Wimbledon in dramatic fashion in the summer.
His doubles partner Emma Raducanu pulled out to end the Scots’ career in the tournament.
But Murray will be stepping onto the court once again as he prepares to team up with old foe Novak Djokovic.
The pair will come together ahead of the Serbian’s participation in the Australian Open with Murray COACHING the star.
Novak Djokovic commented: “I am excited to have one of my greatest rivals on the same side of the net, as my Coach.
“I’m looking forward to start of the season and competing in Australia alongside Andy with whom I have shared many exceptional moments on the Australian soil.”
Ahead of the team up, Andy Murray added: “I’m going to be joining Novak’s team in the off season, helping him to prepare for the Australian Open.
“I’m really excited for it and looking forward to spending time on the same side of the net as Novak for a change, helping him to achieve his goals.”
The pair have graced the sport together for almost two decades and have faced off regularly.
36 times they have shook hands over the net, with Djokovic coming out on top on 25 occasions.
He has also beaten Murray 11-8 in finals, showing how regularly they shared success together.
