“What the f***” – Taylor Townsend shows troubling scenes as her room floods in rain-hit Malaga; Iga Swiatek, Paula Badosa, others await BJK Cup fate

Taylor Townsend shared a frightening scene of her room being flooded after Malaga was hit with extreme rainfall. This also caused the Poland vs Spain tie at the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup, which was set to take place on November 13, to be postponed.

Malaga has been hit by massive rainfall and the city has been affected heavily. The streets have been flooded with water as citizens are struggling, and some have even had to be evacuated amid flood alerts being issued.
Amid these troubling scenes, the city is slated to host the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup. However, Townsend, one of the competitors at the event shared a video of the distressing conditions she was facing on her Instagram. The video showed the premises the American is staying in being flooded with water.

“Holy s**t! So we’re here in Malaga for BJK and this… The water is coming through the room. The city center is flooding but like what the f***. Our room is flooding,” Taylor Townsend said.

The official photographer of the WTA who goes by JJlovesTennis on X (formerly Twitter), also shared horrific scenes of a swamped Malaga.

“This is a block away from my apartment…we’re two hours into rain that is supposed to last all afternoon.”
