Coco Gauff addressing her haters after clinching the 2024 WTA Finals in Riyadh has gotten negative reactions from some tennis fans. Some felt that the American’s constant need to respond to her haters was “childish.”

Seeded third, Gauff kicked off her campaign with a resounding win against compatriot Jessica Pegula and followed it up by decimating Iga Swiatek. However, her straight-sets defeat to Barbora Krejcikova meant that she ended up second in the Orange group. She then defeated top seed Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets to reach the final.
The 20-year-old came back from a set down to defeat Zheng Qinwen 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(2) to win the year-end WTA Finals.
