Wim Fissette uses the same word twice to describe Iga Swiatek’s performance against Daria Kasatkina at the WTA Finals

Iga Swiatek’s coach Wim Fissette was delighted with Iga Swiatek’s near flawless performance against Daria Kasatkina.

The Pole took just 51 minutes to sweep aside the Russian to win her final group match at the WTA Finals.

The 23-year-old needed to win this contest to give herself a chance of keeping her title defence alive and making it to the semi-finals.

She did so emphatically, as Kasatkina, who stepped in to replace the injured Jessica Pegula, claimed just one game in a resounding 6-1, 6-0 defeat.

With little to prepare and adjust to the court conditions, the Eastbourne champion had no answer to the brilliance of Swiatek, who needs Coco Gauff to beat Barbora Krejčíková for her to advance to the semi-finals.

How did Wim Fissette describe Iga Swiatek’s win over Daria Kasatkina in the ATP Finals?

Wim Fissette is still getting to know Iga Swiatek, who he began coaching just three weeks ago.

He has outlined what he wants to work on and how he can help improve the former World number one’s game.

For the first time as her coach, he saw just how destructive and dominant Swiatek can be as she ruthlessly dispatched Kasatkina.

When he was asked what he thought of the performance on Sky Sports, one word stood out from Fissette’s response.
