Victoria Beckham reveals her children didn’t know how good a footballer dad David was until they saw his documentary – as she sizzles in a sheer lace dress in sexy new shoot
Their father is considered one of the best British footballers of all time, inducted into Hall of Fame’s for his career.
But David Beckham’s kids didn’t know how good a footballer he was, until they watched his Netflix documentary.
Starring on the cover of this month’s Harper’s Bazaar, Victoria Beckham, 50, has opened up about her family and husband.
The pair married in 1999 and share children Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 13.
Last year they released a Netflix documentary that explored Mr Beckham’s meteoric rise to being a footballer.
‘Cruz was like, ‘I didn’t realize that Dad was so good at football.’
‘You forget it was a long time ago. They were always at the games, but they were really little, and too young to understand.’
David, 49, was runner-up in the Ballon d’Or in 1999, twice runner-up for FIFA World Player of the Year and in 2004 was named by Pelé in the FIFA 100 list of the world’s greatest living players.
He was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2008, and the Premier League Hall of Fame in 2021.
In 1998 he endured public shaming after being sent off during the match with Argentina, after kicking Diego Simeone – a game that England went on to lose in a penalty shoot-out.
‘I mean, when it happened, David was the same age that Romeo is now,’ Victoria said about the time.
‘That’s a lot for a 22-year-old.
