Iga Swiatek records 60th match win of 2024 season, achieve feat for three straight WTA seasons
Iga Swiatek won her first Olympic medal a silver in Paris this year.
Iga Swiatek is continuing to showcase her consistency on the WTA tour. She has become the third player in the last 30 years after Martina Hingis and Caroline Wozniacki to register 60 plus wins in three consecutive seasons. Hingis had achieved the same from 1997-2001 while Wozniacki recorded the feat from 2009-2011.
Swiatek had secured 67 wins in 76 matches in the 2022 season and 68 wins in 79 matches in the 2023 season. This season she has earned 60 victories in 68 matches and will be adding a couple more in the next few days. The Polish player also breached 400 career matches this season and at this pace could hit the 500 mark by the end of 2025 or early 2026 season.
