Tennis pros celebrate Halloween: Andy Murray Wins
Sir Andy Murray had fans in stitches with his trademark deadpan humour as he posted photos of himself done up as a miserable clown for Hallowe’en. He quipped: “Hope you are all enjoying Halloween as much as me”.
The pics on the Scot’s Instagram account are in stark contrast to almost all other celebrity Hallowe’en outfits, where the stars involved are clearly taking themselves INCREDIBLY seriously.
Mum Judy Murray declared: “This is what happens when you have too much time on your hands.” Sir Andy retired from tennis earlier this year and is now spending his time at home with wife Lady Kim and their three young children.
Tennis writer Amisha Savani, who co-wrote The People’s Wimbledon book, replied: “Brilliant! That dry Murray humour paired with this outfit is a MATCH made in heaven”.
“Such a clown,” commented fellow Brit and former doubles No. 1 Neil Skupski. The official Olympic Games Instagram account declared the two-time gold medallist from Dunblane was “[number one] for Halloween outfit choice”.
One fan said: “It is absolutely impossible not to love this man.” And another asked, “why is Andy Murray the funniest person on this app?”
