David Beckham Says He “Absolutely” Experienced Love at First Sight With Victoria Beckham

During a recent convo with People, David recalled meeting Victoria in 1997, saying it was “absolutely” a love-at-first-sight situation. “Well, of course,” he gushed, going on to state the obvious: “She was a Spice Girl and sexy and beautiful and charming.” The star soccer (sorry, football) player proceeded to add, “Then I found out what a strong woman she is. So it’s again the gift that kept on giving.”

I thought I’d missed my chance, and then a week later she turned up at another football match.”
