Rickie Fowler Forced to Say ‘Sorry’ to Nelly Korda After His Impossible Decision Under Pressure
Friendship goes a long way in golf. Even after the game ends on the course, it continues off of it. Like Tiger Woods’s and Justin Thomas’s brother-like bond or the incredible bond among Bryson DeChambeau‘s squad, the Crushers GC. Such is the friendship between Rickie Fowler and his buddy on the LPGA Tour, Jessica Korda, who has been on a hiatus for over a year now.
Although the two are rarely seen together, they indeed share a friendship. Fowler and Korda were even supposed to pair up for the inaugural Thornton Invitational, but because of the LPGA star’s pregnancy, Fowler teamed up with Lexi Thompson. However, she was there as an ambassador, and the two finally met. The 6-time PGA Tour winner was happy to see Korda and her dog, Charlie; he Facetimed his daughter to show him and give her a few kisses.
However, today isn’t about the 2023 edition but the one starting in December. This time as well, Fowler isn’t paired with Korda as she is on maternity leave. But even after that, he had shown his loyalty to the older Korda sister through the game of This or That. With his 2024 partner Mel Reid, Fowler was asked to choose between various things, like playing in the rain or wind, morning or afternoon tee time, and the bomb question, Nelly Korda or Jessica Korda. Keeping his friendship with the older sister in mind, Fowler chose and said, “Jess. Sorry Nelly.”
