I am preparing for the WTA Finals, but my perspective is, as always, long term, not short term. “I have said many times that my career is a marathon for me, not a sprint, and I am working, operating and making decisions with this approach,” were his words in a statement. “I am very excited and looking forward to working with Wim. He has a great attitude, vision and enormous experience at a very high level of tennis. It is always crucial to try to get to know each other better, but we have had a good start and I can’t wait to compete soon,” added the 23-year-old player.
