Andy Murray’s bold plans to open a RESTAURANT revealed
SIR Andy Murray has revealed plans to create a new restaurant at his luxury five-star hotel.
The double Wimbledon champion, 37, wants to build a new dining space for guests at Cromlix House near Dunblane.
Murray and wife Kim want a new 80 cover restaurant which would replace the current eatery known as The Glasshouse.
It would form an extension to the C-listed Victorian mansion with views over the hotel’s lawns through huge glass windows along a new terraced area.
The Glasshouse would be retained under the move but turned into a space for afternoon teas and private events.
Plans submitted to Stirling Council reveal Murray would also add three new ground floor bedrooms to the hotel within the main building.
He wants to convert a kitchen area into an accessible suite while an additional bedroom will also be created on the first floor.
If given the green-light, it would see the number of rooms available to guests at Cromlix increase from 15 to 19.
A laundry room will also be turned into a staff canteen while a store area is earmarked to become a toilet area.
The council will issue a decision on the new plans in due course.
