Before meeting David Beckham, Victoria Beckham was engaged to Mark Wood.

Jakarta – Who would have thought that before meeting David Bechkam, Victoria was engaged and wanted to marry a man named Mark Wood. The two of them had planned to get married in the near future, but unfortunately their relationship with the anti-theft alarm technician was forced to fail. The love story that lasted for six years ended when Victoria began to taste fame with the Spice Girls. Even though at the start of his career with the female vocal group he used his girlfriend’s last name as Victoria Adams Wood.

The two of them have started a relationship since Victoria was 14 years old. Even Mark Wood has been living at the residence of the Spice Girls’ parents in Goff’s Oak, Hertfordshire. In an interview, Victoria said the reason their relationship failed and they did not get married. “He wasn’t the right man for me, I wasn’t being myself and happy, so (the relationship) had to end,” she said at that time to Denise Van Outen. “But I didn’t return the ring, I kept it because it was a nice ring. Is that so bad? I sound like a material girl,” he added. Meanwhile, in 1997, Mark was interviewed by People regarding his love story with Victoria. He also said that their relationship was very special but everything had been destroyed.

“It’s very sad because we have been together for a long time. But he has got what he always wanted and I am proud of him,” said Mark. Unfortunately, Mark’s sweet words were met with ridicule by his ex. Victoria in an interview on ITV said that she was grateful to have broken up with Mark, who was just an electrician. Mark also revealed his bed life with the singer in 2004 in a documentary on Channel 5 entitled Victoria Beckham’s Secret. Victoria met David Beckham two years after they broke up. It only took 10 months for the two of them to decide to get engaged and finally got married and are currently blessed with five children.
