Top 5 best performers in tennis in 2024 so far

The year 2024 has been a season to remember and it has been full of surprises for everyone. There have been some great Grand Slam events and tournaments which everyone has been looking forward to this season. This has been a year full of iconic performances which we can never forget at all.

This year we have seen some top players live up to their expectations while some have failed to turn up and have had underwhelming performances. However, there have still been players who continued to give us those moments of cheers that we cannot forget at all. We will be looking at who have been the players that have been most consistent and are now one of the iconic players of the year so far after some intense ATP and Grand Slam events.

So here are the best performers in 2024 that the World of tennis has witnessed so far:

5. Alexander Zverev

There is no doubt all of you might be shocked to see Alexander Zverev who has once again missed his chances of achieving Grand Slam glory this season. Though the German number 1 has only managed one Title which he won in Rome, he still managed to make it to the knockouts and featured in a Grand Slam final as well. Zverev has still been active this season and has a record of 56-17 which is still impressive and he has still managed to finish as the World number 2.

4. Carlos Alcaraz

The 21-year-old Spaniard has done it again and even though he lost a bit of his great form in the back end, that does not mean that he has not had any memorable moments this season. Carlos Alcaraz almost had the perfect summer where he won both the Wimbledon and the French Open and has won 3 titles with a record of 41-9 this season. The only reason Alcaraz is not higher up in the list is because this has not been his most consistent and dominant run which we saw last year and we hope we get to see it going forward this year.

3. Aryna Sabalenka

There is no doubt that this was a season where Aryna Sabalenka was not as active after suffering some injury issues after the French Open. However, this was still a season full of memorable performances from the Belarusian who went on to have a great record of 46-11 and won 3 titles which also included Grand Slam events in Melbourne and New York. This was still another season which Sabalenka will be proud of despite all the difficulties she had faced.

2. Iga Swiatek

There is no doubt that we expected much more from Iga Swiatek this season, especially in the back end, but we cannot ignore the fact of how consistent she has been with a record of 54-7 and winning 5 titles. The Polish Superstar had one of the most dominant Clay season runs and we barely saw her not make it to the playoffs in the entire season. There is no question as to why she is still the World number 1 and we hope that she shows us why she is the next dominant force in the WTA after the great Serena Williams.

1. Jannik Sinner

This was without a doubt a season to remember for the 23-year-old Italian sensation who has created history for his nation as well this season. Jannik Sinner started his season by winning the Australian Open and continued his great form throughout. With 6 titles to his with a record of 55-5 there is no doubt that this season belongs to him so far. Sinner showed consistency throughout the season no matter when and where he was playing. It will be interesting to see how long can he keep this up going forward and continue his dominant run which already includes two Grand Slam victories and a win rate of over 90%.
