WTA PARTICIPANT LIST CHINA OPEN 2024 WITH IGA SWIATEK, ELENA RYBAKINA, JESSICA PEGULA AND ARYNA SABALENKA
The entry list is set for September 26th to October 6th, when the 2024 China Open will take place in Beijing at both ATP and WTA levels, with Iga Swiatek leading the WTA participants. However, a similar problem to the one at the 2024 Korea Open next week could arise. The entire top 20 have registered for the China Open, with Swiatek as the defending champion. But how many will play is still completely open. Swiatek, Rybakina, Pegula and Navarro e.g. B. have all withdrawn their participation in Seoul, probably because of the proximity to the US Open. In the WTA 1000 tournaments you can sit out less due to the mandatory rules. However, as we near the end of the season, some big names could be missing. The other members of the top 5 are also there: Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, Jasmine Paolini and Elena Rybakina. As did Coco Gauff, Qinwen Zheng at their home tournament, Barbora Krejcikova, Maria Sakkari, Jelena Ostapenko, Danielle Collins and Emma Navarro from the upper echelons of the rankings.
Caroline Wozniacki is a two-time winner and is in the main draw, as is Emma Raducanu. She is of Chinese descent and, like Qinwen Zheng, will be a big attraction.
